Yen Trades Near 6-Week High as Japan’s Interest Rates May Rise

Feb. 19 (Bloomberg) — The yen traded near a six-week high against the dollar on speculation the economy is strong enough to prompt the Bank of Japan to raise interest rates this week.

Grain market close
The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colo., in the closing grain report for Dec. 12, reported in futures trading that Chicago March soft red winter wheat was $4.90,up 4 1/4 cents; March corn, $3.70 3/4, up 2 1/4 cents; and January soybeans, $6.66 3/4, up 10 3/4 cents.
